The United States Department of Labor has rated the paralegal professional as one of the fastest growing professions in the nation. The Robert Half Legal "2009 Salary Guide" predicts an increase of three percent in overall paralegal salaries across the board in 2009 (Source - March/April 2009 Legal Assistant.com). According to the Salary Guide, the hiring of paralegals is expected to remain consistent throughout the year because law firms are trying to minimize costs and keep work in-house as much as possible (Source - March/April 2009 Legal Assistant.com).
